| I personally would not drink the shakes are they are known stallers. A few years ago I was on Atkins and had one shake once a day and lost no where near what I am losing now. |

| Why are shakes easier for your lunch? Do you not have adequate time to sit and eat, or lack access to a microwave and refrigerator? I used to think I had no time to eat decent meals at work, but have found it much easier to cook several servings of chicken, steak, etc, ahead of time and then bring a piece of meat with pre-mseaured salad and dressing to work. Everything fits nicely in a cooler bag (but I do have a refrigerator and microwave at work, so this isn't a problem for me). You can add the chicken, steak, a can of tuna, etc. to your salad and voila! Instant Atkins lunch. I don't recommend skipping meals. Hunger makes people grouchy and is what leads them to "cheat" on their diets.

| I lived in denial and actually drank the shakes - perhaps one a day when I was REALLY craving something sweet. I didnt realize until after I stopped drinking them that I did not maximize my weight loss during induction. I actually lost more after they were off the menu. Remember, you have to eat between 1000 - 2000 calories a day and you need to eat regularly to keep the metabolism going. I take bacon or one of those envelopes of tuna and some cheese to work when I know I am going to be super busy.
