Default Diary of a finally doing it right member

Yep,
i have tryed atkins my way soooo many times and finally after reading all of your posts this morning i am ready to do it the RIGHT way. I have the book, (thats a first for me)and i am ready to go.
I think this induction may be really tough on me because in the past i did it my way (code for not following the rules). So we will see. I am committed and really ready to give this a go. I will check back in and post updates often. I Kind of feel like i am in an experiement with myself. Little nervous about withdrawals....

It is first thing in the AM and i sit here drinking my decaf and cream... yuck. haha.

i went to bed feeling satisfied and woke up hungry. this feels right to me... you know when you are in charge of the food, not the other way around.

weekends are so unstructured around my house it is a little hard to follow any new way of eating. You know the saying "if you want to make God laugh show him your plans" thats how i feel about food on the weekends. I am not quite sure how to make sure i dont eat too much cheese... as i think about yesterday i think i may have gone over.

today will be a real test. crazy day.

yesterday went ok. I was sooo tired by 1 o'clock i had to take a long nap. I am pretty sure that is because of the caffeine withdrawals. I was also craving carbs like crazy... wondering if that exhausted me too.

another weird thing was, i was starving most of the evening and woke up starving as well. i didnt eat anything because, this may sound funny, it didnt seem like food would satisfy it. This morning i had a big breakfast of eggs and bacon. feel great now.

Welcome! Sounds like you are doing fantastic so far. Guess what? For the first time ever you are doing Atkins--instead of doing Jeanniekins!

The best way not to go over on cheese these first few days is to weigh and measure it out into individual servings, not to exceed 3 to 4 ounces a day. When you get to the end of the measured out portions, no more until tomorrow.

Induction is the easy part; highly structured with strict, rigid rules as to what you eat, but you are allowed plenty of tasty, high fat foods, with no limit on calories. You eat until satisfied. Enjoy induction and you will be well on your way to a full lifetime of health and fitness.

Smile! Decaf with heavy cream is not that bad!

Sunny!

thanks sunny I can use all the incouragement i can get.

i have to admit i am back on reg coffee.
I was just sooo tired and sleeping all the time. I am still being very careful with my carbs and getting my veggies in etc. I just had to take a step back for a moment... I will give it another go when i feel like my body is adapting well to the wol.

I had the worst stomach ache yesterday, everyone complains about constipation... well, sufice it to say... no problems there for me. Not sure what is up, but i am fine today.

I love mondays... kids back in school, structure in my life. very happy
