| Bread and grains of any type are NOT allowed on induction. Atkins Nutritionals is the company who markets many of these products, and they're interested in making money, they're not interested in your health. After Dr. Atkins died, the company took over and really started pushing the low-carb junk food to turn a profit. It sounds like you're doing a great job, sticking with whole, unprocessed foods. Keep doing what you're doing! Eat ONLY the foods off the induction foods list, and ignore those recipes in the back of the book. If you need a substitution for bread crumbs, use parmesan cheese or pork rinds. Check out the recipes section of the board for more ideas and recipes. Or wait, better yet, have you been to Linda's site? She has GREAT food--it's so good, even NON-low-carbers want to eat it. Linda's Low Carb Menus & Recipes - Home

| Yes Linda's Low Carb is a fantastic site. All the recipe's with Atkins are induction friendly...at least I think I read that. I just made fried chicken the other day with pork rinds instead of bread crumbs. Linda mentions a couple recipes like waffles I believe in which pork rinds are used and she says they didn't taste salty... I'm amazed at all the food substitutes that can be passed as grains. There's so much you can do, even on induction that should keep you interested rather than bored. I just did a whole bunch of googling and found plenty of ways to keep me excited about it all. Hope that helps. |

| Thank you for your advice - I will keep away!!!!! And Linda's site looks amazing - I had seen people refer to it on here but didn't know where it was so thank you very much - I Have bookmarked it on my toolbar and can't wait to get going on some of her recipes! I didn't realise Atkins Nutritional was trying to push those products - thanks for the warning - I don't eat much of that type of stuff anyway so it is not a hardship to stay away! |

| Just a little more about Linda's recipes - she has marked with an asterix (*) all the induction-legal ones to help anyone looking for induction recipes.

| Oh, I love Linda!! I just make the Creamy Hamburger and 'rice' Skillet! Soooo good! You use grated caulaflour (I know I spelled that wrong) for the 'rice'! It was better than real rice! Good for you, staying away from that pre-packaged food!

| Isn't that "rice" amazing? Every time I eat my cauliflower rice I think, "why in the world did I not eat this instead...earlier?" Have you tried the fried "rice" yummmmmmy |
