| Sometimes you will not have the scale move for several days and then you will get a big drop. A variety of things (even in induction) can make the scale fail. Can you post a day's menu? We can look for red flags that might be holding you up. |

| A typical days menu for me is Breakfast: 15ml lemon juice in hot water, 2 medium eggs scrambled with butter & 50g cheddar. Lunch: Tin of tuna, full fat mayo, 65g celery, 30g red pepper, black pepper. Dinner: Salmon, sweet peppers 88g & 110g aubergine roasted in olive oil. Snacks: Pepperami x2, babybel cheese x2 40g, ham & horseradish. |

| The second week...which isn't over for you yet...typically brings MUCH smaller results than the first week. Drink all your water and then drink some more. Especially as some of your food choices seem to potentially be high in sodium. Stick to the plan with no cheats and it will come off. Be prepared for times when you are not going to lose on the scale. Take your measurements...lots of times when the scale is not moving the inches are.

| I agree with Elsie. You usually won't lose as much on week two. Processed cheeses, processed meats like ham, pepperami, etc. can all boost your sodium enough to keep several extra pounds of water on your body, as can any caffeine, sweeteners, diet sodas, etc. Since you are coming to the end of induction, be sure to read the post induction threads to become aware of what your body may do next. That way you won't be fretting over things these next few weeks. |

| Hi There! Are you measuring as well as weighing? I haven't lost a single pound since my first week of induction but I've lost 18.5 inches off of my body (I started in May.) I was upset too until I realized I was losing inches so its really important to weigh AND measure. You'll be glad you did! I also just got this scale which measures percent body fat, water, bone density, and muscle mass: Taylor 5596G Fat Water Muscle Bone Scale - Low Carb Keeping track of your percent body fat is another great way to track your progress, especially since it is possible to have a normal BMI and still be considered obese if you have a high body fat percentage. Its called normal weight obesity.: Mayo Clinic - Normal Weight Obesity: An Emerging Risk Factor for Heart and Metabolic Problems Anyway, good luck and try not to get down about what the scale says. Here's a great sticky to read: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...ot-linear.html (Weight loss is not linear)
