There's been much discussion about these two veggies in the past, and I think it's been decided that since you're eating mainly the pod, (even though yes you're eating the peas, the bulk of what you consume is the pod) both sugar snap peas and snow peas probably belong on the list of induction veggies in the "other veggies" category.

However, since they are higher in carbs (like pumpkin or squash or onions) be especially aware of any possible blood sugar spikes, cravings, hunger, etc. they might cause if you have an insensitivity or intolerance.

Snow peas are flat and somewhat stringy:

Sugar snap peas are round and much sweeter:

Sugar snap peas are a hybrid of snow peas and the shelling peas. They were developed to have an edible pod (like snow peas) but the have the sweetness of shelling peas.

So plant-wise they are similar but aren't the same thing.

That picture looks so good, I'm stopping for a little bag of sugar snap peas on my way home from work.... Well, except they look a little like shiny green worms.
