| Wifey, The good thing is that you aren't going to beat yourself up about it. I've seen so many people flat out quite because of being so upset when they fall off. Today my mother and I went out for dinner and it was a buffet. Well, I ate cabbage, smoked chicken, and turnip greens. As I was eating the greens, I thought "boy are these good". Then I realized, d*, I believe they added sugar. I was a little upset but ate it nonetheless. When I got home, I gave myself an hour to let the food settle, and I did a 30 minute workout tape. Not sure the workout will help but anytime I mess up, my punishment will be extra workout. That will help me stay on track. Good luck low-carbing! Erica

| Well, I'm glad I read this thread. For two days now I have had severe back pain and have constantly been considering "falling of the wagon". I've made it this far and don't want to start over again. I think if I did "fall" I would not begin again for quite a while. What makes it so important for me is that I also have candida & hypoglycemia problems. I know that the candida should limit me further, but I couldn't do it all right at the beginning. So I am doing regular induction and then cutting out the dairy, bacon, ham, etc. I don't really want to fall back into the merry go round of high & low blood sugar, PMS, not to mention the extra lbs. So I HAVE to stick with it!!!! Thank you for helping with that. (motivation) |

| Yup, you are doing it right! Nobody is perfect 100% of the time (and anyone who is, please keep that to yourselves). You brush yourself off, fix it and move on. That is exactly what you are doing so no bashing here. Erica, I have done exactly what you did on several occasions. If I cheat accidentally, I don't consider it a cheat--it is a mistake. And I won't make it again. Done.

| In addition to getting back on the wagon, you need to figure out why you made the decision to fall off. See, unless we live in a solitary life in a cave or desert island, there will always be "something" that comes up---a birthday party, a family reunion, lunch with friends, a really busy day at the office, a hectic day running errands around town, etc. So we need to devise a Plan B to stay on the diet during those times. I don't mean to sound harsh, but I've been around these boards to see PLENTY of people start over and over and over and over and over and over again. WE all need to make the decision to move from square 1 and move to square 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7. If we don't, we'll be stuck on square 1 and we'll never get to our goal. So sit down, and figure out why you decided to go off and if it was worth it---that is, was the cheat worth having to "start all over again". If it was, then bear in mind the more falls you have to longer it will take for you to achieve your weight loss goal.
