Cool How much H20?

I realize that we're supposed to consume eight 8oz glasses of water daily in addition to other beverages consumed. However, I heard an interesting bit of information from a personal trainer regarding a personalized amount of water required to stay hydrated. Basically you should drink half your weight in ounces of water daily to stave off dehydration. For example 240lbs /2 = 120 ounces daily. Eight 8 ounce glasses only provide 64 ounces.

Thoughts?

Sounds good to me... the rule of thumb I hear a lot on this board is 8 8oz glasses per day plus an extra 8 oz for every 25 pounds you wish to lose. I drink right around 120-150 oz a day so I certainly think what the trainer told you is decent advice. At the VERY least you should get your 64 ounces but the more water the better and I lose faster when I really push the water

I also heard about drinking half your weight in ounces of water. That's what I do.
