Question Pork Rinds Question

I'm on day 11 of a clean induction, and VERY happy to be down 13 lbs. I'm even wearing a shirt I couldn't get into since LAST summer!

I've spent alot of time this morning looking over Linda's Recipe site so that I can add in some more variation, especially with OWL beginning in a couple of days.

I'm seeing the use of ground pork rinds in several of her "Induction Friendly" recipes. Is there a certain brand/kind that I should look for? Any reason NOT to used them? I certainly don't want to do anything to sabotage myself!

This forum is SO much help! Thanks!

Shouldnt be too much of a difference, but always read labels just in case.

Usually they only have pork and salt, but sometimes they can have chilli powder or whatever flavor you want.

You want to avoid anything with sugar, so the cinnamon twist ones are out but you can make your own variation of them with cinnamon and splenda on plain pork rinds

Here in Canada they sell barbQ pork rinds that have a higher carb count. Just make sure you go for the plain ones and read the labels.
I just dipped a pork rind in Peanut butter for a quick snack... not induction friendly, but it was a great little pick me up...

Good luck

Post Re: Pork Rinds Question

Pork Rinds are great. Also, make some dip for them using mayo and dill. Chips & dip on a diet. Cool!
