| This is the right place Atkins says that during induction, you should lose between 5 and 10% of the total amount you want to lose.....looks like you are doing great. i do believe it's 3 ounces of cheese. You will find that different people reaact differently to different foods....you have to find those out for yourself. At the rate you are losing, I would move at least to rung 1....more veggies.....that'll give you something besides cheese to snack on too! Don't count on losing a pound a day even on extended induction....it won't happen! A nice steady 2 pounds or so a week is the norm. |

| Yep. Some people find that they stall on extended induction and moving up the rungs actually helps. As I said, each body is different....you will need to figure out yours |

| Sounds like you're doing great, gdezi! Like, Chicklady says....You really need that 2002 Atkins Diet Plan edition. It's really a great book to have

| Hey Desiree. I heard some wise words on this board a few years ago: You don't have to lose this weight fast, you just have to lose this weight once. I lost about 60 lbs in about 9 months when I did Atkins before, and I have also been able to lose 20 lbs of that in the first two and half months, but you really need to focus on the big picture. Atkins is not a quick fix. The quick weight drop at the beginning is not prolonged by staying on induction. In fact, I stalled when I stayed on induction and only started losing again when I added more carbs. Just stick with this. We're here for you, for the long haul.

| so after induction i can add 5 grams of carbs more a week,right?that will come in the form of veggies? |
