| Welcome aboard, Chris. ![]() I could say yes to the question - I've been messing up my metabolism for over 30 years. This was my (first) post here about 2 years ago. Read: I'm new here -This HAS to be my last diet! Well guess what. Most if not all the problems I was having (directly or not) related to being too heavy have been improved if not eliminated by sticking with this way of eating (WOE). On the other hand for motivation: WOE to the person who gains weight easily who doesn't (stick with it). (Hint - by now I'd be pushing up daisies if I weren't motivated. Now, I cook and eat enviably delectable meals, and feel T-riffic!)

| been there-heck I still get to this point at times. I think the biggest thing was to take it one day at a time and if that was too much then I'd take it an hour at a time. You are stronger than any food that you could eat and you gotta know that deep in your heart. Cravings will come so find ways to make the foods that you have a passion for in a low carb way. Cooking is essential for your weight loss success because YOU are in control of the ingredients and the carb count. Are you exercsiing? If not, it's time to MOVE-MOVE-MOOOOOOOOOOVE!!! Find something to challenge you and get busy. If you don't have a journal...starting one needs to happen. Journals or journal stats are a really good tool to help keep yourself accountable and it allows others to offer tips and advice if you put a quesiton out there. You'll meet friends who can "relate" to your struggles and a bond will form and grow where they'll check on you and snap you back if you stray too far off plan. ADBB is a great site so please be sure to take full advantage of all the tools here.
