You have already lost 13% of what you needed to lose, so I would call that a great result

We all lose weight differently, sometimes pounds, sometimes inches and sometimes nothing measureable at all (or even gain) so try not to think you are doing anything wrong or that Atkins is not working for you

I noticed you were thinking about staying on induction for longer - with about 40 pounds left to go you might be one of the people who would benefit by a move to OWL to continue losing.

Yes it is all looking good. You're doing well. Think about how you are improving your health every day. The losses will catch up. Sometimes there is a bit of a stall second or third week. Happened to me too.

I just wanted to say that I REALLY appreciate the encouragement you all gave me! It meant a lot

Today is my official day to check the scale and I am happy to report that it went down 1.5lbs. That definately helped boost my spirits today. I know that sometimes there will be lulls, and I am prepared to deal with them. I think the thing that bothered me the most was not seeing a real loss in my measurements, but I know it will come!

Again, thank you SO much!

Sometimes I have to step back and focus on how I feel, especially when the scale and/or tape measure don't show a big change. The fact is that I feel better on this WOE and enjoy not having uncontrollable urges to gorge on carbs throughout the day. In the past I might have cheated after a "bad" week. Lately I've noticed that if I redouble my efforts the following week, I often (not always) have a "woosh" the following week! Stay on plan and you'll do fine.

You might double check your salad dressing, even though you only have a small amount of it. I checked my favorite vinaigrette in the fridge and found the first ingredient was high fructose syrup. That nasty sugar can hide in a lot of places!

Congrats on the weight loss to date! I think you're doing awesome. Do you know how many folks would KILL to be able to lose 6 pound sin one week?? Heck...6 pounds in one MONTH. Okay, I'm not making light of how you feel my friend. I just think it's great to put things into perspective. A loss is a loss, no matter how small, you will always be smaller than you were before it so get happy about that. Your body is in control here, so no matter how hard you try to follow Atkins to the letter, you have to wait for your body to respond and I believe that it WILL respond in the way you want it as long as you keep the focus you have now. What are you doing for exercise? Cardio needs to become your best friend and try to up the ante a bit...can I see 4-5 days of exercise? I'm sorry...it's the PT in me but I can tell you first hand that the extra days should help get the scale moving. One last thing, are you taking progress pics? Get on that if you're not. Pictures tell the story when the scale and tape measure do not.
Good luck to you!

I posted almost the exact same thing a few days ago. Had a great first week 'n a half of induction, then not only did the weight loss seem to stop but it looked like a gained a pound or two! I posted my average menu and I got suggestions to cut out the little bit of ketchup I was using on my burger patties, and cut down on the cheese (you seem to be eating about as much as I was, so maybe try cutting out one or two of the servings of cheese?). But like you, I FEEL like I'm getting smaller, so I'm trying not to put too much into what the scale says. I'm sure those numbers will start going down soon enough. Have you tried trying on a pair of pants that maybe haven't fit well in awhile? That's a good way to gauge how much slimmer you're getting!

I noticed on your menu that you have shredded cheese on there. There is corn starch in shredded cheese unless you made your own. Also, pepperoni says on the label that it has zero sugar but did you read the ingrediants? Not to mention that they are really high in fat.

I know ... I read all of this my first week too & I was bumbed. I dont know maybe it is not that and if you persevere you will be fine. Keep on keeping on... and we will find out what happens in a few days. The best of luck to you.
