| I'm going through that right now. I am doing a clean induction now (started the 2nd, but it took me 3 days to go into ketosis because I had some stuff not induction friendly the day before so I'm really counting the 5th). I was 36 inches as of the 7th, and I have been clean clean clean and I'm still at 36 inches. I'm hoping that my body is a little behind. I really wish I knew the difference between snug and tight. Does snug mean the tape is tight but you can stick your finger between the measurement? Because if that's the case I might be a 36 but not a snug 36 anymore. Sorry I think I just confused myself lol. |

| So you have lost 16 pounds since August 27th? A true stall is 4 weeks with no loss of inches or weight. Seems like you are doing pretty well to me. There was a period of time for me where I didnt lose a thing and then all of the sudden I starting dropping like crazy. Stick with it, you are doing great! You say you feel bloaty so maybe you are holding extra water. Maybe too much salt in your diet or TOM? Drink extra water and your body will let go of that

I really need to spruce up the meals a bit so I will be more willing to stick with this so I have been copying recipes like crazy from the induction recipe forum. I am also drinking at least 64 oz of water a day. I don't know about the TOM as I have NEVER been regular in that area (sometimes 2x a year!!) But anyway, I will see how the weigh in goes on Saturday. Donna |

| I think the purpose of the No Weigh challenge is to liberate yourself from the scale. You seem to as focussed on it as ever. Thinking you have stalled even if you haven weighed yourself for how may days - like 2 The thing about Atkins is that we will not always lose weight. There will be some pauses. Keep exercising. Stay healthy. Things will work out.

I don't think I am anymore focused on it than anyone else, which is evident by all the posters saying they are "scale free" for the day. |

| I agree with that. Many people are scale focussed. I think that is OK to be a person who scale hops daily. But if you are going to let that number ruin your life and your diet you are in trouble. Because the truth is that some days you will actually gain weight even on a diet. It is how our bodies work. What we have to learn to focus on is long term goals.

plz don't take offense to this Donna... but you carrying extra weight in the midsection and only having a couple periods a year sounds like you might have PCOS to me, I have it, and I have the same problems as you...being said; that syndrome makes it harder to lose weight as quickly as others, not saying you have it, but I would get my insulin levels checked out by a doctor, you never know, that way you could def rule it out... but like everyone else said...what you're going through isn't a stall, just keep up the good work and you'll see results

Not offended at all. But I did do some reading up on PCOS and I have found that I only have two of the symptoms and that would be irregular periods and I'm over weight. I am definitely not infertile as my little ones running around here will prove. I do appreciate your advice and if I do seem to have the other symptoms creep into the picture or I absolutely can't lose this belly fat then I will speak to our doctor. I think I originally posted because I was frustrated that although my weightloss is happening I would REALLY love for it to come from by belly!! LOL Thanks again, Donna |
