| As Elizellen posted beet greens---the green leaves of beets are allowed during Induction. The root part isn't. By the way, I think beet greens are more delicious than spinach or Swiss chard.

| well I still lost .5 lbs :lucky: I was trying to do a squeaky clean induction...onwards and downwards!

| Here is the nutritional info on a 1/2 cup of cooked, drained beets. http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/foodcom...st_nut_edit.pl The net carbs are less than 6, so while beets may not be on the induction list, a bowl of homemade borscht will do little or no harm! Hope you enjoyed! |

| ok I found my list that I printed out and it lists BEETS!!! 1/2 cup = 4.7 net carbs I printed it from the Atkins site and now I can't find it. do I have induction psychosis??
