| Well done! Congratulations on making through your first day....give yourself a pat on the back! Remember to drink lots of water each day. It helps especially in the Induction period when we're detoxing. I think your sweet tooth will diminish once you're more into it. I know for me it certainly did. If you feeling like having something sweet...maybe try reaching for a baked piece of chicken leg or a spoonful of egg salad mixture....the fats and proteins really help in getting through the initial "sweet tooth" craves. Most importantly, if you haven't done so already...read the book...it walks you through the reasons we have cravings for sweets and explains how it can deminish through Induction. Don't get me wrong...the sugar free jello is fine, you'll be just fine having eaten it, there's nothing wrong with doing so. I just thought I would share with you the feeling for wanting something sweet does fade. Keep up the great work...I wish you a wonderful 2nd day in Induction! Looking forward to reading more of your posts and hearing updates! Drink lots of water and try to fit in some form of exercise today! All the best! Sarina |

| Thanks for the reply Sarina, yes I have read the book and I do understand the reasons for the cravings. I will make sure I get all my water in today, yesterday I have 3 water bottles, my goal for today is 4. I just finished working out and i'm feeling pretty good about today even though I have a mid-term i'm still pumped thinking I may be able to do this. |

| Congrats to you both for getting through day 1. I found the first week the hardest, especially since I still had the same cravings for sweets and bread and chips, etc. Once I started my 2nd week of induction, it was easier as those cravings eased off. It WILL get better, I promise! |

| It looks as if you are all doing great ![]() BTW some members have found that instead of eating something sweet when the sugar-monster starts nagging for food a couple of pickles (check for no sugar added) did the trick if a highfat snack like a boiled or devilled egg didn't.
