| If you are showing trace ketones, you have started burning fat for energy. Continue to eat a high fat/ low carb menu, and you will continue to burn fat for energy. If you change the color of the stick, 'you got it.' Don't get hung up on pink or purple or maroon, if you change the color, it is all good. Color intensity can be influenced by many things, how much water you have drank, when you recently exercised, whatever. Obviously you want to be in lipolysis.. and you are. Good going!

| You caan check the fat content of any food by using one of the websites like FitDay - Free Weight Loss and Diet Journal. If you register there for a free 'account' you can choose any food and see how much fat percentage is in them. As a general idea, we aim for a ratio of 65% fat/30% protein/5% carbs across our menus for induction. | Thank you for your reply.... I use the Ketone strip again this morning, I think I had better Urine to test with then the water I was losing yesterday. The Ketosis strip moved up a notch so I am happy!
