| Thanks! I was a bit worried about it because 2 grams/half cup looked kind of high to be "natural sugars", but I really had no reference point. |

| Green beans are allowed. You're only allowed 1 cup per day though.

| As long as there is no sugar or any other of its aliases on the list of ingredients you should be fine! Probably those 2 grams per 1/2 cup is the reason they are listed on the one-cup list. Well done for looking before eating ![]() Remember that Dr Atkins told us to eat most of our carbs from our veggies, so 4 net grams for one third of your veggies is not a bad 'bargain' and well on your way to getting at least 11 net carbs from veg.

| I see string and wax beans listed but no green beans. Just like green peas( they only allow snow peas) green beans are legumes and not allowed until the legume rung i would assume.

| Green beans are a sub category to the string beans listed - so they are allowed.

| Green beans = String beans. I think a lot of the naming depends on if they are broken or not. Also seen 'em called snap beans...why, I'm not sure. Anyhow, yes, eat them, but only one cup a day. You're going to have to get varied on your veggie intake...though I make a huge pot at a time of green beans and use them for about two-three days. That's the best way to go.

| They are called snap beans because when you have just picked them fresh from the garden some people clean the dirt and leaves off them then break them into about 2-3 pieces. When you break them they snap. The ones from the grocery store don't usually snap because they are several days old and they get soft.
