| Benadryl has sugar in it if I am correct. That's why your headache probably went away. Your body is used to taking in sugar. |

| Aspartame (sugar) is only in chewable children's benadry tablets. the benadryl capsules for adults have none. the only nonactive ingredients are Celluloses, dicalcium phosphate, D&C red No. 27, polyethylene glycol, polysorbate, starch, stearic acid, titanium dioxide, wax, and zinc stearate.

| I think cellulose is a form of sugar. I'm not an expert though. http://antoine.frostburg.edu/chem/senese/101/consumer/faq/what-is-cellulose.shtml

| IIIiiiii didn't find anything about sugar in there...except that it derives hemicellulose from sugar, which isn't the same type of cellulose found in anything we eat. Also that its found in carbohydrates.

| http://fdb.rxlist.com/drugs/drug-437...l+Allergy+Oral look under "precautions" and it tells you what forms have sugar in it.

| Cellulose is undigestable or at least minimally digestable. It is configured in such a way structurally so that while it is essentially a polysaccharide containing long chains of glucose (specifically anhydrous glucose), they can not be broken apart in the human stomach. If you're a cow, a deer, or a rabbit, however, you may have some problems, but human stomachs can't handle it. So if you're typing with hooves or paws, and you have multiple stomachs, watch out! Hemicellulose as I understand it, are essentially the foundations of sugar alcohols. Ty.

| Thanks tycowboy well put! good explanation! Oh and I should have been clearer with my last post...*aspartame (OR sugar)* as aspartame is just a sweetener.

| 4th week, wicked headaches all week. Argh. I will try the benedryl. Cellulose is the structural material of plant architecture. Largely undigestible unless (as previously noted) you have 4 stomachs or are a termite. |
