| A colonoscopy is so important to your health so don't worry. Drink plenty of water as permitted to stay hydrated.

| As everyone else said make sure you drink alot of water. And make sure you get right back on induction afterwards. Good job for putting health first |

| I had one at the same time as you. I lost weight from not eating/toilet during prep and then getting straight back into it. You're lucky!

| Hi Eselte, I had to go through a colonoscopy while going through Induction. Each the way you normally do leading up to the procedure and keep drinking lots of water. I'm not sure how long they have you on clear liquid in the days to come that are closer to the procedure but I had to be on clear liquids for two days prior. I just drank plenty of water and for a "meal" so to speak I drank beef broth only. I personally did not drink juice or have popsicles or jello as they instructed (juice and popsicles are fruit and sugar so there was no way I was going to do that). If you're going to drink broth, make sure you read the ingredients before purchasing it. We had a heck of a time finding broth that didn't already have carrots and such in it. We did find some and I know you will be able to as well. Just prep a head of time. Also, another thing you could do if you have the time is make your own...sadly I didn't have enough time to do that myself but it is an option. Don't worry, it will all work out. I was a bit concerned myself but in the end it worked out well. Once you've been through the procedure, drink lots of water and continue on where you left off. For me, I noticed my weight stayed the same for a little while 4 to 5 days and then I started to lose again. I wish you all the best with your procedure, it's a very important test and I'm glad you've agreed to it. | Many thanks for the replies. I've decided after the procedure, I will probably remain on induction for an additional week (at least) so I can get back into ketosis and into the swing of things. And I will wait a minimum of 7 days before I step on the scale again, so as not to get discouraged. I've been on induction for twelve days and have lost 5 lbs thus far (which I feel is good, considering I only had 25 to lose).. It sucks having to do this procedure and interrupt my induction but I'm fine with it. My REAL concern is the prep!! Four (yes FOUR) laxatives followed by a gallon of some nasty stuff that's mixed with water and FULL OF SUGAR (sweetner)!! BYE BYE KETOSIS!!!! Thanks again. Eselte |

| ditto what the rest said, I have had tonnes of them.. easy procedure. The laxatives are the hardest bit, lots of water and be careful to ease into eating after. Those industrial laxatives keep on working, stay near toilet 6-12 hours after Sure it will all go fine |
