Question Are jalapenos Induction friendly?

Quick question friends. I'm visiting my parents this weekend. My mom used to do Atkins (with a lot of success). She followed the 1992 book. Anyway, she has made me a tray full of the most delicious treats and before I dive in I want to make sure they are allowed during Induction.

Are jalapenos (no seeds or insides, just "skin") allowed during Induction? By the way, what she made are halved jalapenos filled with ground sausage and cheddar, each wrapped with bacon and baked on a skewer. I took one bite and almost fell over. They are so yummy. Before I have more, I'm coming to the experts to find out whether jalapenos are okay. I don't see them in my list, but looked them up on CalorieKing and FitDay. Seems like they should be fine, but not certain.

Thanks!
Kristen

Jalapenos are fine. They are not high carb. I figure they are all lumped under 'peppers' in the list.

I had some peppers filled with cream cheese, wrapped in bacon and cooked on a grill. Divine!

Momtomany is correct. Peppers on the list means sweet bell peppers and chili peppers. The another "encompassing" veggie is lettuce. Lettuce means iceberg, bibb, Boston, green leaf, red leaf, deer's tongue, oak leaf, etc.

wow thanks, I have been wondering if jalapenos were allowed as well, but I always forget to ask! So now I know I can have them.

I make jalapenos stuffed with a cream cheese and crab mixture, sometimes wrapped in bacon, sometimes not. Delicious.

I often stuff sweet red and yellow peppers (bell peppers in USA?) with cream cheese and eat them raw. They are really sweet and crisp which with the creamy cheese satisfies three taste sensations!!

Recently Lidl has had packs of small yellow ones as well as the long pointy red ones which makes a colourful platefull!
