| I stall if I eat over a couple ounces of cheese - even if I am past the dairy rung. It lasts until I stop eating that amount... or a couple days after. It's enough of a reminder that I'm eating too much cheese and need to cut back. This doesn't mean I don't eat cheese on a semi-regular basis - just not large amounts... I make things with cheddar or parmesan in them all the time, I just don't eat a whole plate of cheese anymore. That being said, if you don't know that cheese stalls you, there is no reason to avoid it... the worst that happens is that you realize your body can't tolerate over so many ounces or whatever, and you go forth in life having this knowledge... Which is basically the point of the rungs - to test out food and your reaction to it. Anyway, my "professional" opinion is that you should be fine.

| I agree with Lyssie many of us can eat a few ounces of cheese a day and still lose, so you may well not need to limit yourself so drastically as you are doing ![]() But really the only way to find out if you are one of those people who can't eat cheese and lose would be to try having maybe a couple of ounces a day and find out if your body still allows the weight to drop. The OWL dairy rung is probably a good time to try this out if you are not including cheese on induction, as this is where you would be testing what other dairy foods do to your weightloss pattern anyway.
