I agree with Georgiana, I just estimate the amounts. Sometimes I get a shocker of how many carbs are in foods that look innocent! I have a few things on my custum menu that I just added in the calories and carbs from the label....like my Maries Blue cheese dressing or my sugar free mayo. Also as you had foods they stay on your recent food choice list and its really easy to plug in the next time you eat it. Like my hard boiled eggs...I have one every morning. |

| It's called Hot Dog Chili Sauce. I add alittle bit to Saurkraut and mustard for my hot dogs. Yesterday was the first time I have since I started atkins. It has 2g of carbs per Tsp. and 0.5g of dietary fibers. i do not see anyhting in it about sugars added. Just Wheat flour. I weighted in this morning at 184.4 so still up, but i am contributing it to water weight. I have been drinking a lot of water the last few days. Seems like everything I eat is loaded with sodium. UGH!! I do, do cardio, and I lift weights. So I will measure myself in 2 weeks and see what happens. I also had my husband take my measurments today, so I will check that in 2 weeks as well. I checked my ketones today and I AM NOT in Ketosis. I throw my hands in the air!!

| 2 tbsp? with 1.5 net carbs per tsp... that's pretty bad. It would make 1.5x3=4.5 net carbs per tbsp, so 9 in 2 tbsp. Not that in matters too much as it has wheat anyway, but did you check for all the mysterious names that hold for sugar? Here is a list (not complete, but quite comprehensive): Food-Info.net> Types of sugar and related products

| The times that I have doubted what I was eating because the scales were not moving I have fought back by going back to "clean" eating. That means foods that I can really trust. Just eggs, meat, or fish. (no sausages or mixes or store prepared stuff). Just veggies that I prepare myself - And making sure most of my carbs come from veggies. And that it. So far it has helped me find the way back. Perhaps you should join the veggie challenge today? It would help you concentrate on veggie carb - you would have to limit carbs from other sources that way.

| Ok, as a nurse, i will explain what i know about weight loss and the scales going up. When you lose fat. The fat cell is no longer the way it was, it is lacking mass. To the body and it's "keep everything in homeostasis" mode. It corrects the situation by retaining water in that cell until it has the ability to shrink. Once the cell shrinks and is more the way it should be.. Not all floppy and lacking mass. The body will release the water. If you are gaining weight, approx five to seven pounds, that is usually a sign to "not stop" it is actually working!!! Although unfortunately at this phase most people get discouraged and say... It's not working and stop and go eat a loaf of bread, peanutbutter and jelly and a gallon of milk. The key here is to drink drink drink. Your body will flush out toxins and the keytones created by fat metabolism and allow the cells to shrink down and realease the excess water. Keep going. Don't stop. There will be a nice suprise on the scale when one day you wake up and bam!!!! That number on the scale will disappear just as fast as it appeared!! You have to know more about how the complex structures of the body works to understand this. Anatomy and physiology of the human body, it is a machine.. And it's main function is to create balance. When your cells are no longer balanced with fat, it has to replace the fat with water til they become balanced again. Usually takes about five days. (if you drink drink drink) and keep eating by the plan. Hope this helps. |
