| It has 6 carbs per can? That is too many carbs to drink I think. Some of that comes from glucose (I believe) which is a form of sugar. So not great.

| I'm addicted to caffeine as well, and as such I have been weening myself off of it. I was in the hospital last year with bleeding ulcers and I was on the heart floor because I had lost over half my blood, so they were concerned I might have a heart attack from lack of blood. Long story, sorry... Anyway, on the heart floor, there is NO CAFFEINE ALLOWED!!! PERIOD!!! I was dying from the withdrawls. I used to own a coffee shop, so cold turkey was killing me. I had the sweats, the massive migraine like headaches, etc. After a day, the doctor started me on morphine for the withdrawl!!!! In the middle of the night, the drugs wore off and I was still dying from the pain, and the on call doctor didn't answer to clear more morphine. The nurse was also a caffeine junkie and sneaked a Mt Dew up to me. It cured the headache faster than the morphine.... So, is caffeine a drug? YES!!! I am trying hard to kick it now. My body is not supposed to run on chemicals.

| I am also a caffeine addict, and I haven't cut it completely out. I have cut it down dramatically though - thanks to water, I went from at least 2 liters a day of diet soda and probably a liter of unsweetened iced tea, down to about 20 ounces of diet soda (slowly drunk throughout the day), maybe 8 oz of unsweetened iced tea (with dinner), and one 6 oz hot tea in the morning (with splenda). I always have water with any of that, though. Yeah, I should cut it out. But I'm pretty proud of how much I've been able to cut in two months. |

| I am so addicted to Pepsi that my sister bought me a keychain that read "pepsiholic" I am down to 12-20oz's a day of Pepsi 1. I was at about 160/200oz's per day before! I know the withdrawals you speak of. |

| I am a Diet Coke addict, and I love my coffee in the morning. But both of these things contribute to my weight gain. So as much as I hated to, I cut them out. Yes, it was tough, really tough but I was determined, because if I didn't get rid of those there would be no point in continuing on Atkins or any type of diet. So I made myself green tea with some Stevia in the mornings, a poor substitute in the beginning, but now I love it. It took less than a week to deal with the change. I drink it the afternoons as well for a little pick-me-up. Green tea has a small amount of caffeine and has anti-oxidants and in some studies shown to help promote weight loss. I know this solution is not for everyone but for me it has worked great. |
