Why low protein? Bacon? Dripping with fat steak? Ham? Salmon? Tuna in oil?

Do you mean they are even in fat and protein grams or in fat and protein calories? Eggs for instance have sort of the same fat and protein but because fat has more calories (9) and protein has 4 - egg is a pretty perfect food when you try to get a good fat to protein ratio.
Adding fat to cooking and fat to veggies (mayo or salad dressings - or sautéing them in a oil) helps too.

basically on my fitday my menu was saying something like 50% fat and 45% pro so i wanted to balance it out so was less protein and more fat. so i will give eggs a go not been eating any sauces because have yet found one that i know is 100% atkins friendly. thanks for your advice.

Fatter cuts of meat are good. Eating skins on chicken works to add fat. Using butter is one of my favourite ways to add fat. I like butter.

One thing to be cautious of is fitday's calculations...maybe I'm crazy here and I'll accept it if people disagree, but it measures the "average" of something. So for example, if you put in "steak" and picked out the meat that you wanted to list, it doesn't really allow you to specify how much fat was on the steak. If it were a trimmer cut of meat, there's not really a good way to document that.

So I would allow myself, if you're trying to balance things out, to swing about 10% points.

Ty.

There's a sticky thread in this forum called "How much fat do I need to eat." It will give you an idea how much fat and ways you can add fat to your diet.

Just remember that Dr. Atkins said that excess dietary protein is eventually converted to sugar, which is stored as body fat. So it's never wise to over eat the protein.

Fat is what keeps your hunger at bay between meals.
