| You should eat not until you are stuffed, but only until you are full. Besides, too much protein is converted into glucose (sugar). Obviously, something you don't want to be happening. You should also keep in mind the percentages recommended for induction (I assume you are on induction), 65% fat, 5% carbohydrates, 30% protein.

I believe that the best way to overcome temptation is not with willpower, which is so often in short supply, but with our brain power, a potentially unlimited resource. Imagine that you're doing great, losing weight, feeling better than ever, thrilled with yourself, hearing compliments from friends and acquaintances---and then it happens! Despite all your good intentions, you're mightily tempted by a food you're not supposed to have. What to do? I'll tell you this: You'd better have a strategy ready!" | Thanks for the speedy replay. I don't fully understand how to calculate the percentages. The book a have is The Atkins Essentials. Is this okay to use or should I have gotten a different book? |

| you want Dr Atkin's New Diet Revolution 2002 edition It is way more complete than the essentials. You can get your percentages by logging the food into fitday.com. It's free and a very nice tool.
