| It's most probably induction flu and it should go away in a few days. Take it as a sign that you're doing the right thing. The worse thing I experienced during induction were mild headaches, but they never lasted longer than a day (for ~1 hour). I guess I'm just one of the lucky ones.

I believe that the best way to overcome temptation is not with willpower, which is so often in short supply, but with our brain power, a potentially unlimited resource. Imagine that you're doing great, losing weight, feeling better than ever, thrilled with yourself, hearing compliments from friends and acquaintances---and then it happens! Despite all your good intentions, you're mightily tempted by a food you're not supposed to have. What to do? I'll tell you this: You'd better have a strategy ready!" | well i just started doing this today but i think its like sugar/carb withdrawal since our bodies are so used to eating junk. my husband did atkins a few months ago andhe experience that too. he would get very moody... but it went away after a few days... hope that helps, but stick to it, you have alsready started to see the lbs melt away... hang in there.

| Your body is detoxing! Hang in there and it will pass and you will be amazed at how well you feel. Make sure you drink plenty of water and I found that ibuprofen really helped on those body aches! Also, try to get plenty of rest until it passes. You are doing great! |

| I too experienced Induction flu- killer headaches, foggy brain, lack of energy, just a general feeling of uggghhhhh. But it should clear up in the next few days, at the longest And the best motivation for me to stay on plan is knowing that if I cheat and go out of ketosis, I will experience it all over again when I get back on plan! Make this the one and only time you feel horrible! Make sure you remember what it feels like when the temptation sets in, and remind yourself you don't want to go there again.

| Induction Flu is a good thing. It lets you know that your body is adjusting. Hang in there. I know it sucks but when it passes you will feel awesome! |

| Not sure if this applies to you, but is something I've read about. The sick feeling could be caused by some kind of healing crisis going on inside your body. I read that there are lots of things that live in our bodies (on sugar and carbs that break down to sugar) like Candida for instance. Candida overgrowth (not always the same as a yeast infection) is what causes many people to be bloated after eating carbs, dairy, sugar, and yeasty foods. Anyhow, I did read that when you cut out the sugar and the carbs, Candida as well as other "things" in the body starve and die. When you feel sick, it's because your body is getting all that dead funk out of your system. Hang in there and you should feel better. If you don't feel better in a few more days, perhaps you might consider getting your blood sugar tested. Could by signs of hypoglycemia. |

| Well, I totally sympathize with you. Let's just say I had an event on New Year's Eve while dining out. I had to excuse myself and go to the restroom, and half an hour later, I emerged. My husband was getting ready to send someone in after me. I was hoping I wasn't getting the real flu and then, I remembered, that my body was probably adjusting. Just hang in there and remember that -- and do make sure to drink plenty of water. |
