| this is something that has been very frustrating for me this time around. i know i am in ketosis and i can tell i do not have the appetite i used to have, but i still don't feel full on an amount of food that anyone should feel full on! i am still eating way too much and i'm sure that's why i'm not losing as quickly as i want to. i read on and on about people having no appetite, having to force themselves to eat, etc, and i remember being like that when i did atkins the first time, but this time, no such luck. i keep hoping that ketosis will kick in and every once in a while it does and i won't feel hungry, but most of the time, even if i don't feel hunger pangs, i still want to eat...and do.

| Keriann, I agree, it is a wonderful side benefit. DieBR, sorry you aren't enjoying this benefit yet. Sometimes I have had it and sometimes I haven't. I have found the best way to get it is to make sure to eat butter and or olive oil...(fats) and remember Atkins says you can eat FREELY of all the chicken, beef, etc.... that you want. and of course, drink your water and take your supplements... etc... Last night though I was hungry after dinner and decided to ignore it. Sure enough, it went away. But in general I'm very satisfied, more than not. Hang in there! liz |
