Default A Little Sad...

I'm not certain if I'm losing weight. I've been on induction for 17 days, at first the scale said I lost around 7 pounds, but a few days ago I was back up...four pounds gained! I was a little bummed but decided maybe it was the day, however both yesterday and today the scale said the same thing!

The only "cheat" has been coffee and over the course of the 17 days I've had about 4 of those Atkin's chocolate and peanut bars. I heard that they could stall you, but a weight gain! I'm eating about 1400 calories a day and 20 grams of carbs. I'm really sad, a bit dejected.

hey newsie....step away from the fake food. stick to the REAL food listed for induction ONLY. don't be sad, be smart! you can do this. and remember this...weight loss is NOT linear. it just isn't. down up down up down down down up and down.....in the end, you'll be down.

follow the rules of induction to a T. don't weigh every day. and keep us posted on your success. remember, loss is loss! and smile!

i'm sure that if you're doing the right things, then u will succeed. if you're following the rules then it will happen. right now i'm avoiding the scale, and i've promised myself to weigh only once per week at the most!

I am sorry to hear you are feeling down about your Atkins journey so far

How much weight did you lose in the first 14 days of induction? What sort of metabolic resistance does that indicate according to the chart in DANDR? How much weight were you hoping to lose in total?

haha i weighed myself eeveryday and found out that losing weight is not linear the hard way ahaha i only do it around once a week now but those first couple weeks sucked! ahah
