I don't know what to do??

Hi Guys,

For those of you read my palpitations thread will know that my pottassium was low and the Doctor prescribed Slow K. I thought I would weigh myself this morning as I was feeling "lighter" anyway I have GAINED 1/2llb
I know I have been following DANDR well (with the exception possibly of veggie weights- that whole cup versus ounces thing still confuses me!) So couldn't really understand it. TOM dosen't visit anymore so I knew it wasn't that. Then I read the ingredients of the Slow K (only thing that is different from my 5lb loss last week) they contain SUCROSE! I rang the doctor and he was adamant I stay on them for now till next blood test in 2 weeks! and dosen't want me to take any other form of pottassium. I told him that sucrose wasn't allowed on Atkins & he just kind of said TOUGH. This is a whole chicken & egg thing to me, without the atkins I wouldn't have low potassium but with the slow K there seems Atkins wont work.

Really upset & I actually don't know what to do....I have to get rid of my weight but I also don't want palpitations

Unfortunatley I can't offer any invaluable advise as it almost seems taboo to go against what your doctor is saying if its a health issue.. Its just a pity there isn't something else he could prescribe that has the same effect but without the sucrose.

Did you do any bloods before this to measure the results of the ones you are going to have in two weeks....

I was just venting really I have decided to just carry on doing both & hopefullythe sucrose wont have TOO much of a negative effect on the losses.
