| Salt is essential. We need to have it. It regulates the water balance in our body. And I think just by switching to a low carb diet I have cut my salt intake considerable. There is so much salt in processed food. (Have you ever looked at what they put in those condensed soup containers? Holy cow)

| don't try to go "no salt". i had some major blood pressure problems (too low) and i was getting dizzy all the time. i found out from the doctor that i wasn't eating enough salt.

| If you are avoiding all the processed food products most people eat in their 'normal diet' then there should be no problem with adding salt to food you cook.
