| you can expect to lose between 5-10% of the weight you need to lose during Induction. So if you have a 10 pound weight loss goal, you can expect to lose 1/2 to 1 pound. If you have a 100 pound weight loss goal, you can expect to lose 5-10 pounds. So I think your 6 pound lose is Great! Also, make friends with your measuring tape. Dr. Atkins said the loss of inches is a better measure of losing fat than scale weight. That's because the loss of inches represents the fat emptying from your body.

| The folks who lost 15 and 20 pounds usually have a 100 pounds or more to lose. This is a great diet but you have to take one day at a time. |

| Then you are definitely on target with the 6 pound loss and shouldn't be discouraged at all!
