| I can tell by your tone, that you know what I am going to say. Yep you need to eat 3 cups of salad greens. There is a printable list of the Acceptable veggies right here on the board. You must eat veggies to do Atkins correctly, but I think he said can eat, not should eat. Saying that, there are a million reasons why you should and very few reasons not to eat them. Your water intake is a little, low. You should have at least 64 oz not 60 oz and if you have more than 25 pounds to lose, you need to add another 8 oz You don't need to exercise every day but you should exercise most days. Get a copy of the book, Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution as its important to have a map to know where your going and the book is the map. Good luck and welcome

| lol, Thanks Tom. Well, should I eat the veggies fresh? The salad veggies are so expensive. I borrowed the Atkins Essentials from the library. Should I start over tomorrow then? I want to do this right. I want success so bad.

| Instead of the Atkins Essential see if you can find a copy of Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution published in 2002. Library should have it. Look up and find the FAQ section as lots of your answer will be there.

| Hi Nikki, Veggies are where we get our carbs from on Atkins, believe me even the worst veggie hater learns ways to not only tolerate them but love them, but that's secondary. Like you I have 100 pounds to lose and I really want you to consider this: Without the book you will fail - gauranteed, make no mistake about it. You don't stand a chance. You can live on this board 24/7 it doesn't matter my friend, you will fail. Get the book and treat it like your friend, your bible - and the road map to success that Dr. Atkins intended it to be and I promise you - you will succeed and shine, you'll lose the weight, you'll keep it off and you'll improve your physical and emotional well being far beyond any words I can write to you can express. Now go spend the $7 and but the book - if you have the book start reading it. BTW, it's not a boring clinical yawn..it's a bright, fascinating look both into yourself and the principles that make Atkins the most powerful, life changing diet in the world. | well you did a good job eating your one cup veggies in those green onions now you need to look over that salad veggie list. do you like muchrooms? they are a 2 cupperhow about some hot peppers? you can used canned or frozen veggies too. if you boil your radishes then they lose the hot taste and you can make faux tater salad out of them too. Non of us got over weight eating veggies but if we want to maintain that weight loss and health we gain doing our Atkins then we need to start eating them smother them in a cheese sause make spagheti sauce our of them puree them and hid them in your proteins like meat loaf or ommlets. The bottom line is you need to make changes in your WOE on a permanant bases to sustain your weight loss or you will be just like those perpetual dieter doing the diet in a can program. At goal on Atkins you will be eatting 6-8 cups for them a day.

| Exercise is NON-NEGOTIABLE on this diet!! You want results exercise everyday.. drink 64 oz of water plus 8 more for every 25 pds you want to lose, and eat 3 cups of veggies a day. Veggies are very important.
