Default Pork Rinds & Snacks

Are Pork Rinds okay on induction and how about recommending some other snacks for induction.

Thanks

Pork rinds are fine, because they are basically just pork, but be mindful that they usually are high in sodium. The plain ones are best because the ingredients should read 'pork, salt', so there ya go. The flavoured ones usually have lots of polymonowhatchamacallits in them, and in the case of BBQ flavour, they often have sugars, so stick to the plain ones.

A snack that I never thought I'd like is using pork rinds to scoop up tuna salad! Try it, even though it sounds gross...well, it sounded gross to me, but now I like it once in a while.

Other snacks that I enjoy are deli meat rolled up around cheese and/or pickles.
I like to cube up celery(or radishes), cheese, and pepperoni, put it in a bowl, and eat it a few pieces at a time...it gives me that popcorn sort of experience.
I always make extra meat at dinner, and use it to dip into mayo, ranch or blue cheese dressing. I really like to make a big whackload of little meatballs..they're great for snacks.
Sometimes I'll split some in half, put some cheese in the middle, put it back together and nuke till the cheese melts...mmmmm This works well with burger patties as well.

I rarely snack in the evenings anymore, but I do in the middle of the day...basically I'm having several small meals during the day, and then a reasonably sized dinner.

One combination I like is 2 hard boiled eggs and 1-2 tablespoons of cream cheese mashed up and blended together really well - I like to call it my modified egg salad because I don't really care that much for mayo.

and small cheese cubes are good too, i particularly enjoy sharp cheddar and Montery Jack

That reminded me of another idea, spazzy!
If you enjoy avocado, mash your portion of avocado into tuna! It's really good, and if you aren't keen on mayo, you might enjoy this.

Hi Guitarman

My DH loves to nuke pepperoni slices in the microwave. Place a few on a couple layers of paper towels and then microwave on high 1-2 minutes (depending on how crispy you like them). Very yummy!

I like deviled eggs for a snack. Or left over meat. Raw Veggies, cucs, jicama, red bell peppers, just a few pieces at a time.

mmm pork rinds to scoop up any salad! Chicken salad, egg salad, tuna salad, I scoop it all up with pork rinds! I remember my grandma eating these things when I was a kid, I think she called them piggy puffs. I remember trying them and liking them, I never thought that they would figure so prominantly in my life at this stage of the game lol
