| Welcome aboard karina. Your Atkins experience will be much better if you read the book before you start. If you have read the book but it's been awhile, you may want to review the Rules of Induction. Here's three of them: 4. Eat absolutely no fruit, bread, pasta, grains, starchy vegetables or dairy products other than cheese, cream or butter. That means no Half & Half. Try cream instead 9.Avoid foods or drinks sweetened with aspartame. Instead, use sucralose or saccharin. Be sure to count each packet of any of these as 1 gram of carbs. That means no diet pepsi or ice tea if it's not sweetened with splenda AND is caffeine free 10. Avoid coffee, tea and soft drinks that contain caffeine. Excessive caffeine has been shown to cause low blood sugar, which can make you crave sugar. That means no diet pepsi or ice tea if it's not caffeine free I'd pull the book out and reread Chapter 11, and get familiar with the Acceptable Foods List. As far as exercise goes, Dr. Atkins mentions many times in the book exercise is a must. No excuses. Good luck! I think you'll love Atkins but you really want to do it properly to get the best benefits for yourself :hug

Please read the book and if you don't have one, please buy one. It is important that you read and understand how this way of eating works. What food can be eaten on Induction: This is found on FAQ in the main forum. http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...ic.php?t=68132 Your question about exercise, it is very important to exercise. It is a must! Happy Low carbing, Karina!! Welcome to our ADBB family! Becky Sue |
