It probably is your BCP's. It is not uncommon for that to happen when you low carb and take them. You will lose but you will have to put up with the up down gain/loss fluctuations from time to time that they will cause. Seeking lower dose is a good idea, that may help. I was taking them for my PCOS and regualting Aunt Flo but had to stop because they raised my BP too much. Just kep plugging away and know that you will have fluid retension and the BCP's may make that seem worse but you will lose. Just might be a bit more stubborn and take its sweet time, somtimes. In time, you should lose fine with no problem once your body gets used to it.

Default recipe

THE RECIPE SAYS SOMETHING ABOUT SUGAR FREE MAPLE SYRUP! YOU DIDN'T TRY THIS DID YOU????? ALSO IT MAY TRULY BE THE DAIRY (CREAM CHEESE, CHEESE, ETC.) THESE FOOD HAVE SOME STRANGE CONSEQUENCES FOR SOME PEOPLE.

I HOPE U FIND OUT WHAT IS CAUSING THE PROBLEM, AND THERE'S AN EASY SOLUTION, INSTEAD OF SOMETHING COMPLICATED.

Default crying is better than binging

awww sweetheart - your sad post and my happy post on the same day.

i don't know why your body isn't registering the change on the scale yet but I believe that if you stay in ketosis, it is only a matter of time.

there are a couple of other people here who didn't lose weight on induction but they lost inches. then later in the program, they suddenly had a big scale loss. it could be like that for you.

also, after my first 2 week induction I hit a plateau - I was stuck at 198 for the longest time. I didn't think the scale would ever budge but it finally did. and it will for you too.

don't despair - it is gonna happen for you . just keep that curvy siren in the wedding dress by the roses firmly fixed in your mind. and know that your mommy luvs ya! :hug

I think I actually figured out why I gained a pound instead of lost, shortly after I weight myself, I started TOM. I'm sticking with it though and I'm going to wait a few days after and weight myself again. that should give me better readings. in the meanwhile, I'll just stick with my tape measure

Hi, Spazzy!

Everyone had great things to say! I am just going to add my little tinker...

I was on Atkins for a month, in ketosis; however, I didn't lose a pound and gained inches! After listening to what people here said I dropped ALL, what I call "iffies"; splenda (including the Atkins syrup), low-carb processed products (i.e. low carb pancakes), etc. I also upped my water more than required, and dropped my coffee in 1/2 (still need to get rid of that last cup ).

I lost 4 pounds in a week from their suggestions. Also, I measure every day - if gives me something to do to take my mind off the scale! Tee hee.

Don't dispair you are doing great and we are very proud of you!

Lori
