Default Help please!

Hope someone can help with this one please!
Yesterday i went shopping,i was looking for Rhubarb. Couldn't find any so i bought a tin of it in Syrup...when i was going to eat it i drained all the Syrup of it and washed it with water, it would be 14 carbs altogether with the Syrup and i had 14 yesterday, taking it to 28 if i ate the Syrup.
When i think of it now the Rhubarb would have been saturated with the Syrup and i am probably out of Ketosis, i will not be making the same mistake, well cant call it mistake, knew what i was doing!!
If i am out of Ketosis, what should i do? I am on day 8 of Induction.

For my husband when he was on induction I bought tinned rhubarb in a 'light syrup' and used to do the same as you did - rinse it thoroughly with water then let is sit in more water then drain that off. The resulting rhubarb probably had 'some' syrup in it still but didnt taste particularly sweet and didnt stop him losing.

So you might not have harmed your ketosis state too badly.

Anyway - no matter whether you are in or out of ketotsis all you need to do now is make sure you stay on-plan with your induction eating, drink your water and exercise and keep going.

Depending on your CCLM you might not have eaten enough carbs of sugar to affect your losing, so all it not lost

tion.

Honestly? I wouldn't worry about it. Just stick with the basic plan...if it did have too much syrup in it and threw you out of ketosis, the way to get back in is to eat according to Induction guidelines. One mistake isn't worth panicking over -- and who knows, maybe you didn't throw yourself out of ketosis if your net carbs were still within your range.

Edited to add...
Yesterday I bumped my carbs higher than I should have for Induction, but apparently I did not knock myself out of ketosis, since I still have ketosis breath! Today I'm taking notes on what went wrong and why (well, the why is easy -- I was over tired due to caring for a sick son the night before!), and how to be prepared for that in the future. Just wanted to add this so you could see how you can learn from the mistake (if you did get thrown out of ketosis, you know to avoid tinned rhubarb!), and move on.

And now for the serious blathering and a question...
We don't have tinned rhubarb in the States...well, not in the mid-Atlantic states. You can only get it fresh during the summer. I don't think I would want rhubarb without sugar (my mother used to grow it in the garden, and stew it and sweeten it). How do you serve unsweetened rhubarb?

Thanks for your replies Elizellen and Jalififer! Well i heated up the Rhubarb and have some cream with it(love Rhubarb crumble and custard, wont be having that). I have decided not to use any sweetner at all cos i think it will give me cravings, i have a big sweet tooth lol
I am so determined,i do have ketosis breath today so i dont think it too bad.
Thanks for your support.
