| How many calories are you eating? Are you taking any vitamins?

I believe that the best way to overcome temptation is not with willpower, which is so often in short supply, but with our brain power, a potentially unlimited resource. Imagine that you're doing great, losing weight, feeling better than ever, thrilled with yourself, hearing compliments from friends and acquaintances---and then it happens! Despite all your good intentions, you're mightily tempted by a food you're not supposed to have. What to do? I'll tell you this: You'd better have a strategy ready!" | Since you are exercising...you may need more calories and or carbs to keep it up. How long are you exercising??? These are all important factors. Everyone warns me about exercising on a very low carb intake.

| If you are eating mostly salad veggies, try adding in your allowed one cup of pumpkin and green beans. They worked especially well for me on days like that. Boost your carb count to the maximum you are permitted. I would also suggest that you don't work out so hard until you are past induction. There are massive changes going on in your body right now as your metabolism changes. |

| I suffered from that same exhaustion at first too, but once I started taking some potassium and a B complex vitamin, it went away. |

| I understand that this is suppose to be a result of your body adjusting to a lower amount of carbs. However, cutting out vital nutrients can leave you feeling extremely fatigued also. How is your water intake? Do you eat a variety of foods allowed? Are you taking a multivitamin? So that I don't become anemic or malnourished I eat a variety of different foods allowed on program. I do a multivitamin and omega 3-flax seed oil tablet when i remember to take them. Also I drink some sodium free chicken broth to replace potassium (you know you need more potassium if your muscles ache and cramp up like crazy). If your feeling unnaturally fatigued, don't hesitate to see your doctor. Extreme fatigue that doesn't subside can be a sign of some underlying condition and you may need a routine lab workup to check things out. |
