I am on induction day 4.can I make for dinner fried calamari or shrimps?I won't use bread, flour or anything like that. I am just going to throw them in hot oil. What do you think?

p.s. forgive my english if I misspelled or the terms used, it's not my native language.

It's okay. Just be sure not to overcook your calamari----or else you'll end up with rubber bands!

frying is ok - some oils are better than others however... You want to use 'expeller-pressed' oils if possible.

check out:
What is Expeller Pressed Oil?

when frying meat I use Safflower oil or Canola oil. I have used these for frying chicken (no breading of any type) - if you put your normal spices on the chicken and after the skin is brown turn it down, put a lid on it and cook it slow you'll never realize it isn't the fried chicken you know and love!

When I fry an egg I put a small amount of canola oil (maybe a 1/2 tsp) in the pan and a pat of butter -- it's all good

You could also use crushed pork rinds or a mix of parmesan/pork rinds.

My suggestion would be the pork rinds too. They make an excellent breading. Also try to use real butter, it tastes better than margarine and you can pronounce all two of the ingredients. LOL.

I stir fry shrimp in olive oil and a bit of garlic and onion. It is my favorite!
