I dont know the product but think that somewhere on the bottle it should tell you how many 'servings' it is.
If it says 2 servings then it should be counted as two of your daily three servings of sweetener.

From the http://lipton.com website:

LIPTON Diet Iced Tea with Lemon
Great tasting and good for you!

LIPTON Diet Iced Tea with Lemon…no sugar, no calories but with the great taste of LIPTON. In a convenient, on-the-go package. Plus, LIPTON Iced Teas provides protective flavonoid antioxidants.

Available in:
20 oz single serving, 16.9 oz 12 pack, 16.9 oz 6 pack, 2 liter, 1.5 liter

Ingredients:
Water, citric acid, sodium polyphosphates, natural flavors, potassium sorbate (preserves freshness), potassium benzoate (preserves freshness), citrus pectin, sucralose (SPLENDA® Brand), caramel color, calcium disodium EDTA (to protect flavor), acesulfame potassium, RED 40.

Nutrition Facts:
Serving Size: 8 oz.
Servings per 20 oz container: 2.5
So if you drink the whole bottle that is 2.5 of your daily 3 servings!

Try to get in the habit of reading the labels before buying or eating/drinking as that info ought to be there - and if not you need to check the company website, most have this kind of info in the USA.

Hi Kgold1!

Splenda is the sweetener recommended by Dr. Atkiins, but because it triggers the desire for sweets in so many people the new guideline is to avoid it during Induction as much as you can.

Splenda counts I believe as one carb per packet - so if you have to use it remember to add the carbs to your count and no more than three packets a day.

Best Advice?

Ditch the Lipton iced tea and grab a bottled water instead. This entire process is about making choices, some are easy - some hard. But making all the right ones is your ticket to success.

BTW, try making your own decaf iced tea with green tea use a little lemon for flavor. Always remember these drinks don't count towards your water count which is a minimum of 64 ounces a day.

Hope this helps!
