Default Cheated :(

So, I finally broke down and cheated.

Was really craving something chocolatey and yummy.

Although, I tried to find a "somewhat Atkins" way to cheat. I had one of those EAS Carb Control bars. It was so yummy. It had only 2 net carbs, but I don't think it was induction friendly.

Anyways, I'm down over 20 pounds already, and Induction isn't even over until Sunday! I cannot even believe it!

Well, chances are you may not get knocked out of ketosis. I say just continue on and don't beat yourself up over it. I always try to have a Chocolate Atkins shake in the fridge for an emergency. They are not a great choice but they are better than an off program choice. I think you are doing terrific so far. Keep at it.

A tiny bit of cocoa on some whipped cream can also be an option.
Are you taking supplements? Sometimes cravings like that may be caused because we lack something. With chocolate it could be a magnesium deficiency.
Congratulations on your progress!!!

Wow, I never thought about that. I just discovered the feature on fitday that shows your nutrition info as far as vitamins and minerals. I noticed that there were just a few things that I was really low on. I started making a few diet modifications (within induction rules like eating broccoli more often) and taking supplements for those things I wasn't getting enough of. My cravings since then have almost completely disappeared. I hadn't made the connection until just now!

I'll have to second the advice with the supplements considering that it seems to have worked for me!

Also, a little bit of cocoa in a few tbs of whipped cream and maybe a packet of your sweetener of choice (I make it in my magic bullet thing and its really fast and simple) can be a nice sweet treat every now and again.

One of the reasons for craving chocolate is a magnesium deficiency. Most of the population is magnesium deficient. Magnesium oxide will also help keep you "regular." Magnesium oxide is not best for a magnesium deficiency, though.
