| Fish is perfectly okay to eat: it's on the Acceptable Foods List along with other seafoods, and poultry like chicken and turkey. Breaded fish is obviously a no-no. For smoked or cured fish, read the label for the carb count and the ingredients. Many cured foods, like smoked fish, bacon, ham, etc. are cured with sugar. So read the label: that smoked salmon might have 5 carbs per ounce!
