Unhappy Slow weight loss on induction?

Hey, new user
Sorry if there are a million other threads for this type of thing, I did look.

I have been on induction now for 10 days and have lost 6lbs. I am 5ft 2 and weigh 200lbs and I want to lose at least 50lbs.

I can't work out what I am doing wrong :/

I have included a normal day for me, so if anyone has any pointers, I'd appreciate them

Breakfast - 2 slices of bacon, 1 egg. Either fried in vegetable oil or scrambled. Sometimes I have a fried tomato, but this is not everyday.

Lunch - Salad with either a chicken breast or 1 small can of tuna. I use a teaspoon of mayo for a dressing.

Dinner - Either a chicken breast or two pork chops with the rind cooked in vegetable oil and either cabbage or brocolli. Or sometimes I have a mushroom omlette.

Snacks - Some days I have no snacks. If I do I will eat 2 slices of ham or a small can of tuna and some lettuce leaves or a boiled egg.

I drink at least 10 glasses of water a day and exercise for 20 minutes on an exercise bike each day.

I am allergic to nuts so I can't eat those and I can't stand cheese. Ick!

I was purple on Ketostix after 32 hours and I have been since then. I know weight loss takes time but I am getting so frustrated!

Am I under eating? Overeating?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

-Jinx.

Are you male or female?
I think that is good progress losing 6 pounds out of 50 in 10 days.
Your menu looks fine. Just follow the rules about vegetables. Two cups from the salad list one cup from the "other" list. (Or all three from the salad list if you prefer).
Also make sure you eat enough fat. And enough food.
I eat two eggs for breakfast with bacon and stir fried vegetables (I love breakfast)

Goes to show you it is all relative. I have lost 5 in ten days on Induction and am thrilled that my loss is so quick this time.

Now for the advice and tips. Look, it took years to put the weight on, be patient with it coming off. Not everyone loses 20 pounds in Induction. Those are the cases that get remembered. Most of us have more moderate weight losses, especially women. The more times you have done this, the harder it is. The older you are, the slower it is. You have only 50 to lose so you will lose less than someone who has to drop 100. Maybe you aren't a jack rabbit loser. But you are losing. Steadily. Make sure you eat your veggies. I know this sounds silly but it works. Make sure you eat enough. I would add another egg at breakfast too. Your water intake is great and it is good you have started exercising. There is nothing wrong with your losses. They are a solid beginning especially since you only have 50 to lose. You cannot compare your weight loss to anyone else, if you do you are setting yourself up for depression and failure. Recognize that this is the body you have to work with for better or worse. I think you are doing terrific.

Concentration on doing things well and on how your body feels physically. Try not to make the scale the focus and you will be happier and more successful.

Thank you!
I don't mean to appear like I am whining :/
I appreciate every pound I lose, I know some people are having a harder time than I am! I should learn some patience!
I'll add that extra egg and some stir fry vegies to breakfast!

Oh and Liv, I am a female

I didn't think you were whining But many people come in thinking that everyone has 20 melt off the first week and are then think of themselves as abnormal when it doesn't happen for them. I just didn't want you to get hung up on numbers. In the big picture, the numbers are not the focus so much as looking better, feeling better and getting healthy. I found I was too focused on the numbers when I should have been focusing on doing the WOE as perfectly as I could. When I concentrated on the WOE and not the scale, I lost faster. I definitely didn't want you feeling you had done something "wrong" because your losses were smaller than some others. You are just different and if you learn to be OK with that you will find the WOE easier. It can be darn hard to be patient though.

Haha, I know Atkins works miracles but I wasn't expecting a huge loss. I am now on Day 13 and have lost 8lbs and 7 inches all over so I am feeling pretty happy and confident. My clothes are looser, my face is slimmer and I feel better than I have done in years. I have had hypoglycaemia for the past 4 years and since I have found Atkins, my blood sugars are stable, I no longer suffer with that dreaded afternoon fatigue and I am literally bursting with energy! I used to wake up in cold sweats and pancking in the middle of the night from low blood sugar but I can actually sleep all night knowing I won't wake up feeling hungry and light headed and reach straight for the bread!
