Default Meat and Egg fast for quick weight loss?

Does this really work? I am considering trying it all through the week.
How will this affect me long term?

Thanks.

Hi Welcome.
This is an Atkins board. We follow Atkins 2002 here and support each other. Meat and eggs only is not something we do. It is healthy to eat vegetables and to establish eating patterns that is going to last your whole life. Did you try an Atkins induction with eating three cups of vegetables? It works. And it is good for you.

Meat and eggs is ok, but you do need to add in some veg. I just do 3 cups of salad with my dinner (no carrots or anything extra just a lettuce blend.) Best part is I can use my favorite dressing, blue cheese! I use Marie's Chunky Blue Cheese brand because it lists zero carbs and sugars. However according to the book you still need to be careful with dressings and cream based product during induction. I just throw the salad and 2 tbs (1 serving) of dressing in a tupperware container and shake it up to spread it around. First time I've ever actually looked forward to a salad.

Perfectly said.

Have you done a squeaky-clean 2 week Induction yet?

I am only on day 2. I was going to complete a week of meat and eggs as induction. I have a big event in 12 days and want quick results. When I go to my reunion/beach holiday, my rewards will be fresh veggies, whole dairy foods along with the meat I am eating. I am not very heavy to begin with and tend to be a slow and awful loser.

I wouldn't know about that, since atkins doesn't work that way

Hello, I would suggest doing a search for another Low carb board. The other one that I'm on is more receptive to this kind of diet.

Another trick is to add olive oil to your salad dressing. It increases your fat intake and you won't need as much as the bottled dressing. I usually mix 1/2 tablespoon or more in with 1/2 tablespoon of bottled dressing.

I'm not an Atkins expert... But wow, are you going to have THE WORST constipation ever. JUST meat and eggs? Have fun going to the Emergency Room because you have a bowel obstruction or something of that nature...

I make bacon then chop it up and put it on my salad along with the bacon drippings. it adds tons of flavor as well as fats
