| Hi! I know how hard it is to be in a hurry but in the morning while I am running around getting the twins ready I put some eggs on to boil and some sausage patties in a pan on low then I just throw the eggs (with the shells) and the patties in a tupperware. I peel them at work and eat away. I also keep some pepperoni and cheese (2 oz) in plastic baggies so I can just grab. When I do have time to cook I make ALOT of tuna salad, grilled chicken breast and shrimp salad. Hope that helps

| You aren't supposed to count calories, you are supposed to count carbs... Sometimes I have 3000 calories, but only 20 carbs (not net carbs) and I lose just fine. It's the carbs (at least 20) that kills the hunger. If you don't eat enough carbs you are dooming yourself. Save your atkins products for later. Don't count net carbs, count real carbs during induction... you can save the net carb food for OWL or maintenance. If you are eating the right foods and eating as much of them as you want, you will not be hungry... I promise |

| cut the atkins frankenfoods, lower the cheese intake and make sure the cheese you do eat isn't processed, use real butter, eat a variety of veggies with more fiber. only 1125 of your calories that day were from actual food.

| I just have a daybreak bar in the morning Mon-Friday during my busy work week mornings..along with a cup of black coffee and some benefiber. This usually keeps my hunger pains away until lunch because of the Benefiber. Fiber is key to keeping hunger pains away! and lots of water!!! I swear by these!! I take 3 servings of benefiber a day and drink about 115 oz of water per day (half your body weight in oz is what you need to flush the toxins and fat out of your body and keep you hydrated!!). Now I do have about 85 more lbs to lose, but I've been losing 4 lbs a week on average. I probably will keep losing that much until I have less to lose, which I'm suspecting I'll go down to losing 3 lbs per week once I hit 195-200lbs-ish... I also walk my dog 2.5 miles 4-5 times a week, (i try to everyday, but with weather and my schedule it doesn't always work that way)... so get your body moving.. doesn't have to be strenous exercise... walks are a way for me to actually unwind at the end of the day..it de-stresses me and makes me feel so much better! but yea, on the weekends I'll eat a good breakfast. The daybreak bars are just something low carb and quick that i can take my fiber with and fire up my metabolism in the AM. They have not affected my weight loss by any means thus far. | your jun 5th fitday is too high in carbs high carbs will make you feel like your starving sweet potato? apple? these are not induction freindly foods get your pie chart % too around 65% fat 30% protein 5% carbs eat 20 net carbohydrates for examble 28 carbs 8 fiber = 20 net carbs eat LOTS of fat so you dont starve eat eggs they are 61% fat and also dont eat any atkin products no atkin bars or shakes do the atkins diet properly if you want it to work good also some of your may 17th days you are eating extremely high amounts of fiber eating this high of fiber in some cases will push the food right out of you before you absorb it this also could be why you are starving some of them days you are eating 34 grams of fiber when i eat that many carbs of fiber worth of almonds i cant absorb the food i eat that well and just have to take a crap try not adding any fiber to your diet fiber is mostly just used for people who get constipated the only fiber in my diet that i can handle is from broccoli and thats it i cant even handle spinach half the time also the fact that you are starving may tell me you have gut illnesses and fiber is very bad for people with gut illnesses on Atkins induction 20 net carbs and low fiber and my gut illnesses were healed it took 6 months but my gut was healed and it saved my life heres some more research links if you do got gut illnesses http://www.biblelife.org/myths.htm read myth 3 about fiber http://www.biblelife.org/leakygut.htm http://www.biblelife.org/bowel.htm Last edited by ziggy; June 5th, 2009 at 09:02 PM. |
