| Here's my Fitday public profile: http://fitday.com/fitness/PublicJournals.html?Owner=Abigail+Davis I wish I hadn't eaten so many Atkins products yesterday, but I was just soooo hungry and no time for grocery shopping because I was working. |

| Not sure if this is right but when I follow that link there is only a few things on it. Not nearly enough food. I think its the wrong link because you said you ate 2000 calories. Also most people here will tell you that Atkins products are NOT allowed during induction. |

| Oops -- by the way.... Those Daybreak bars apparently only have 3g NET CARBS, even though the carbs look so much higher. The alcohol was my attempt to put alcohol sugars into Fitday -- which wasn't very effective. At any rate, Atkins assures me that there are only 3 net carbs in those bars, even if they can't make it clear on the nutritional info. So my total net carbs for the day was close to 15. |

| The link automatically takes you to the current day. On the right hand side, you can go back to yesterday. I bought the Atkins products before joining these boards, and have been using them out of desperation -- starvation & no time to shop. |

| I'd say it's the alcohol and the Atkins type products. There's a list on here somewhere (maybe stickied on this board,) that states very specifically what you can and can't have. It's not really a matter of just staying under 20g of carbs during induction but what kind of carbs you eat, and how your body processes them. Edit: Here's the rules of induction: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...induction.html (What are the Rules of Induction?) and the list of acceptable foods: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...induction.html (What foods can be eaten on Induction?)

| I think you need to start eating other things rather atkin products. You had 5 yesterday. I also think that is why you are starving. You should try to do this right. You are starving and not making any progress which isnt what the goal is here. I think you should make time to go shopping and get chicken, lean meats, tune and veggies. Make food ahead of time if you have to. I dont think eating like this will truly help you. If you see the people that have lost the weight do not have the atkin products and follow the program. |

| Okay. The bars first. The reason why they are not allowed during Induction (despite what the Atkins company says) is because they contain soy, milk or peanuts. None of these is on the list of foods acceptable during Induction. Then they also have sugar alcohols. Sugar alcohols are lovely -- they either give you monstrous bathroom issues (which means that your body is not metabolizing them, so no need to count them towards your net carbs) or they don't (in which case your body is processing them as net carbs). So it's pretty much a lose-lose situation. If your body metabolizes them, then they will raise your blood sugar... hence the hunger/cravings. So cut the bars off your menu, eat real food... and the hunger will go away.

| Hi hun, im no expert but i agree with the others atkins bars are not allowed on induction and I have thus far not had any. What are you making with your eggs i.e a 3 egg omelete made with mushrooms or peppers is really filling and quick to make. I know its tough when your in a hurry but if you can try to sit down and eat something you will feel fuller than just grabbing and running IYKWIM. |
