| If you are in Induction it is best to avoid the bars. I know they have the Atkins name on them, but that is the corporation/brand, and I highly doubt Dr. Atkins himself would recommend them if he were still with us today. They have been known to stall people out.

| Do yourself a favor and stay away from processed foods. Otherwise you may risk trying to lose weight and wasting a lot of time. Look for the Acceptable Food List and the Rules of Inductions and follow it.

| Well yes, I know all that but I'm having a hard time eating more then 700 calories. And it's possible to HALT your metabolism compleatly by eating so few calories. If that happens then I won't lose any weight whatsoever. And I've done some resarch and I'm pretty close to that problem. So I'm using anything I can to get my calories up (preferably over 1000). I was using the Atkins bars to do so because they seem kosher. So if I'm going to eat them how many can I have in a day and not be compleatly breaking the rules?

| Well I guess since some of the bars have 5 net carbs and you are allowed 20 carbs per day you shouldn't eat more than 4 bars a day... mathematically speaking However, that's not induction and you won't lose as much as you could... I know you can do it without the bars |

| Seems to me you may not be getting enough meats into your diet. A 4 oz. steak is the only meat you had during the day? How about a slice or two of bacon/ham with your eggs in the morning? Or a nice chicken breast to go with what I am assuming was a lunch-time salad? Maybe a nice can of tuna with some mayo and mustard? A typical serving size for any of the meats with an Atkins diet is going to be in the 6oz to 8oz range. I definitely agree you aren't getting enough calories. At the least I think you should be aiming for 1200 calories at the minimum. Atkins isn't about calorie counting so I hope you aren't really worried about that. The bars are not the way you want to be getting calories in though, I can say that much to you.

I just can't get enough calories with what I'm eating. And eggs are boring me to death even though I load them up with onions and cheese and anything else I can find.

| Good on you deciding that you need more because yes you do. I have a couple of suggestions Eat at least three meals where you have protein and fat items (like eggs for breakfast, tuna for lunch, meat for supper) Eat more fat - so butter with your eggs (or bacon). Mayo with your tuna or a dressing on your vegetables. Eat fattier meats (if you like them) if you do not like that kind of fat - use oil or dressing with vegetables. And also eat more vegetables. You are only eating lettuce for the most part. You need to choose more vegetables and do a bit of variety. Do you like avocado or olives? Those can be good sources of fat. Right now your fat is low so you can work on that. And if you increase vegetables you may eat some more.
