Taking your multivitamins and drinking plenty of water should help. If things get worse than you are willing to stand, you can add another cup of vegetables until the symptoms go away. Dr. Atkins wrote you could also add 1-2 oz of nuts or seeds, but I would try veggies first, because many of us have an intolerance to nuts. I have also seen people on the Board who took Advil or other mild painkillers to deal with the symptoms.
