| Chicka, do NOT weigh yourself every day. Many factors can determine why you arn't loosing weight. Like: menstrual cycle, hormonal changes, and a whole host of other things I don't compleatly understand. Believe me you arn't doing yourself a favor. Just put away the scale and only bring it out once a week. Seeing your weight every day may be a downer and you'll lose sight of what you really want.

| I agree - if seeing the scales stay at one weight for a few days bothers you and makes you wonder if you are doing something wrong then resist the temptation and wait till after your 14 days induction before weighing again ![]() Our bodies never lose weight at a regular pace so you are messing with your mind to expect it to happen. Having said that, I think it might be a good idea to give up on the regular 'treats' of sweet foods regardless of what your weight does. Feeding a sweet tooth will never make it go away Try a highfat snack or even a sour one like a pickle to make your sugar monster give up and go away instead.

| As I read this, I am sitting here with that very SF Jell-O pack in my hand for my morning snack! lol I've been losing fairly steadily (if that's even a word) averaging at about a pound a day it seems. However, I have since found out that a couple of things I incorporated in my diet were not good. Such as the Atkins bars and shake and diet dr. pepper. I have since let go of them all. I have done some research on the Crystal Light and it seems to be ok. I was wondering why the diet soda would be bad even though the book says you can have a diet soda just check the carb count. Then, last night, I noticed that the soda has caffeine in it, and it all made sense. Hopefully, you guys aren't saying to now relinquish my good friend the Jell-O cup.

If you need to snack on something (i.e. you are hungry or have gone 6 h without eating), Jell-O is a really bad choice as you are only feeding your sweet tooth without providing any nourishment to your body. If you have an addiction to sweeteners (from your mentioning of so many "frankenfoods"), you might want to use the Induction phase to get it under control -- this means you should give up sweeteners all-together.

It's not really the carb count you have to check. Although there's a big fat zero written on the label of those foods sweetened with aspartame or some other sweeteners, you should still be counting 1 serving of them as 1 serving of sweetener. For drinks, 1 serving is 8 oz.
