| I'm not sure what happened, but I'm glad you're feeling better. Were you constipated? If so, you should take psyllium husks, flax seeds (meal) or wheat bran, with a lot of water. If these don't work, a stool softener should solve the problem. One question. You said egg whites... Make sure you keep your fat intake high -- Atkins is a high fat diet. Besides, most of the nutrients in eggs are in the yolks.

Despite all your good intentions, you're mightily tempted by a food you're not supposed to have. What to do? I'll tell you this: You'd better have a strategy ready!" | thanx guys well i hav been drinking lots of water.and about 2 or 3 glasses at every meal.but i must admite my mouth seems to be always thirsty.so maybe i was dehydrated.if thats the case then i've definately learned something,i never knew dehydration could do that. as for the eggs, i do sometimes eat the yolks, but they make me feel a bit sicky when i have too many. do we have to eat such a high amount of fat daily? if so, why? can we not just eat lean meats and under 20g carbs, without having all the fat? thanx again guys

| Have you had any sugar-free sweets (including low carb bars) with sugar alcohols? That is the exact reaction you would have. Yes, you have to have the high fat. Too much protein will be turned into glucose and stored as fat. Lean protein should be only eaten with added fats from butter, olive oil, coconut oil or mayo. You get in ketosis by the ratio of fat to carbs.

| Also I love Aloe Juice. It always helps me when I have any issues. I recommend everyone to have a gallon around. It just fully regulates my stomache. |

| When I first started from the 3rd to the 6th day I "ran" to the bathroom every morning praying I'd make it....I would have 1 slight pain and that would be it. I had diarreah 2 and 3 times a day until the 6th day -- then I never had any trouble again. I figured it was my body regulating to the diet. I didn't have any sugar alcohols, I wasn't constipated, it was just the way my body reacted. 2 weeks ago I did a re-induction and the 1st day I had the same reaction - but since then nothing. Hope it's just a one time thing for you!
