Came across this is my BJ's monthly coupon book...It's made with splenda and the ingredients are...

Ingredients: Isomalt, Citric Acid, Natural and Artificial Flavors, Sucralose (SplendaŽ Brand), Artificial Colors Including Red # 40, Yellow #5 and #6, and Blue #1.

Contains 50% less calories than regular hard candy*. Crystal Light Hard Candy is a Fat Free and Cholesterol Free Food.

Well, they are fat free, but those calories must come from somewhere.

The candies have a glycemic index of 10 (per serving). That's quite high compared to the Induction foods.

Isomalt is a sugar alcohol. Sugar alcohols can be either metabolized by your body, hence should be counted as net carbs, or not, in which case you'll spend your day in the bathroom... window wide open. I'm not sure which scenario is more appealing.
