Default What To Drink

Hey everyone

i have a lil issue when it comes to drinks, i don't like hot drinks yea i know weird but very true, so i need some help with what to drink?
i know i can drnk water which have ben doin but i need help cos i always drink fruit juice which i know is a big NO NO and i can not drink only water i need something else i was thinkin of drink diet drinks as i'm ery strange and need some type of real/fake surga rush, cos i've always found if i just drink water all day i will come over light headed and faint, this is something which i've had to deal with for years, and before you ask yes i have been to see my Doc and had many test done, i was told that i needed to have sugar in my system, i didn't really question him at the time, so can anyone give me any ideas. to day was my 1st day and i was gonna do water only but by 7pm i could feel my body cryin out for its fix, so i had to have a diet coke and with in 10-15 min i was feelin fine so if i do drink these drinks will it stop me from losin weight???

i have lost 40 lbs so far and i have been drinking diet drinks once a day but i always make sure to drink at least a gallon of water everyday. some here will say you shouldn't drink diet drinks and what not but i saw no weight loss hold up just make sure you take multivitamin/multimineral supplement. And also are you excercising? because i think that sped up my weight loss, i started atkins induction on jan 6th and as of today im 40lbs down but i excercised like crazy, 40 min-1 hr cardio AND 1hour - 1hour 30 minutes of free weight lifting.

It depends on your body whether you will be able to drink diet sodas everyday or not. I use to drink 6-8 Diet Rite's a day....I have had 2 sodas in 3 months and both times I've stopped half way through the can because it's too sweet - and the next day I can't get my rings off and my watch feels like it's a part of my skin because the soda swells my hands up so much. Diet Rite has no sodium, no calories and is made with Splenda -- but there is something in it that reacts to my body the wrong way.

I've seen a lot of people who don't drink soda because it stalls their weight loss...like I said before, you'll have to watch what happens to you. Do you like ice tea? That's something else you can drink besides water.

Mineral h2o helped me cut diet coke, even though the first time on Atkins I used the original version and I lost 80 lbs in about 6 months. This time around I'm losing much slower, so I decided to cut out the diet coke/crystal lite. Mineral water for the win!

It sounds like you have hypoglycemia...

When you drink too much water and you don't have food along with it, your blood sugar and your blood pressure can drop which can make you light headed...

The doctor telling you that you 'need' sugar is another clue that you probably suffer from low blood sugar... Unfortunately, the doctor didn't know that sugar just makes the situation worse.

Now that you are on Atkins, once you are in ketosis and once your blood sugar has stablized, you should be able to drink as much water as you want without getting dizzy or lightheaded...

If you continue to get lightheaded two weeks after doing a clean induction I would have your blood pressure checked...

If you are going to drink diet soda, make sure it doesn't have caffeine as that will raise your blood sugar making the situation negative once again...

Italian soda.. Its getting on summer and they would be delicious.
A squeeze of lemon or lime in the water helps. Also some folks add a slice of cucumber. It really makes the drink cool and refreshing.
